1. Brief Introduction

Alkyl ketene dimers (AKD) wax also reduces water absorption and enhances surface conditions of paper during a neutral paper manufacturing process. A major factor driving the usage of alkyl ketene dimers (AKD) wax in the paper industry is its significant role in minimizing the detrimental impact of water contamination on environment, by facilitating the recycling of water during the paper production
With the rapid development of the papermaking industry, it is a general trend that the sizing process will be replaced by surface sizing instead of the traditional method of combining in-pulp sizing and surface sizing. After years of painstaking research and development, our company has developed a new type of surface sizing agent JH-AKD200. This product is polymerized by polymer emulsifiers and a variety of cationic materials through a special process, which can completely replace internal sizing agents, greatly reduce sizing costs, shorten curing time, improve the surface strength of paper products and have excellent Water resistance. This product is widely used for cultural paper, high-strength corrugated paper, cardboard paper and other papers produced from wood pulp, straw pulp, bamboo pulp, waste paper pulp and other pulps.

3. Characteristics
3.1 JH-AKD200 AKD emulsion (alkyl ketene dimmer)/surface sizing agent is a newly developed product based on our former sizing agent. It is characterized by good self-retention, high water resistance and rapid curing process, which enable it to prominently improve sizing effect and other technical indexes of paper.
3.2 JH-AKD200 AKD emulsion /surface sizing agent is applicable for all kinds of paper which require sizing process, such as writing paper, xerographic paper, corrugated paper, liner board, art base paper, photographic paper, napkins, etc.
3.3 It is with high curing speed and low hydrolysist speed.
3.4 JH-AKD200 AKD emulsion /surface sizing agent can provide paper sheet with superior water resistance.
3.5It will also improve printability of paper sheet, increase retention of fines and fillings, decrease pulp consumption, reduce production cost.
3.6 Wide pH value range (6.5-10) for sizing, calcium carbonate can be used as filling.
3.7The neutral sizing process of JH-AKD200 AKD emulsion /surface sizing agent contributes to decrease corrosion and prolong equipment life.
4. Dosage&Application tip
4.1 Dosage:3kg to 8kg for per mt of paper
4.2 To add JH-AKD200 into gel tanks after the temperature of gelatinizated starch decreased below 65 ℃.The mixer can be used directly in the next sizing process.It can also be added into gel pipes via meter pumps.
5. Package,Storage&Shelf life time:
The package can be 200 Liters or 1000Liters drums.It should be stored inn cold place with temperature between 4 ℃ to 30 ℃.To avoid frozen and sunshine.The shelf lift time is around 6 months.
