Product Description:

Solid surface sizing agent JH-WX603 is a chemical applied to paper or paperboard to improve resistance to liquid penetration (e.g., water, ink) and enhance surface strength, printability, and durability. Unlike internal sizing agents (e.g., rosin, AKD), solid surface sizing agents are applied to the paper surface after sheet formation, typically via size press or film press in the drying section.

JH-WX603 is made from kinds of polymer raw materials via special production process. It can replace the surface sizing agent liquid and pulp sizing agent totally. It is easy to be used and can be gelatinized together with starch. Without using meter pump and professional sizing staff, the sizing cost will be decreased considerably. The paper RCT and water-resistance will also be increased dramatically. JH-WX603 is widely used in the corrugated paper, cardboard paper and etc.

Applications:

Dosage: 8kg to 15kg per metric ton of paper.

JH-WX603 can replace 20% to 30% of native starch during the gelatinization process. It is important to adjust the heating speed once the temperature of the gelatinized mixture reaches 70°C. Additionally, the mixture should be maintained at this temperature for approximately 20 minutes after it reaches 93°C to 95°C to ensure the starch fully reacts with the other raw materials. The gel should undergo gelatinization continuously, followed by dilution with water.

The sizing and RCT (Ring Crush Test) effectiveness may be compromised if the mixture is diluted with water during the gelatinization process.
